Technically opus romano refers to a technique of laying different sized rectangular tiles to fit a given area. Bisazza have adopted the name for their range of solid colour tiles, 12mm square by 6mm deep.
There are wonderful deep full colours, almost comparable to smalti, highly durable yet surprisingly easy to cut with wheeled nippers. We sell them by the half kilo (about 245 tiles), the quarter kilo (about 115 tiles) or the 100g packet (about 45 tiles). This is the last time these tiles will be available in this depth, as the formulation has now been changed for current production.
